At Active Lifestyles by Design we don’t believe in counting calories or points, there’s no cookie cutter meal plan of oatmeal, brown rice and green veggies.  Now this is not saying that you can eat as much as you want either! We believe that most nutrition programs are not successful because they are time consuming, unrealistic and entirely too generic.  We know that by choosing healthier foods in easy to measure (in relation to your hand size) portion sizes, our clients can easily make long term changes towards eating a more nutritious “diet”.  Our clients are busy and  don’t have a lot of extra time to prepare meals, so we teach them that great tasting food CAN BE quick,easy and full of nutrients. We are here to help you learn how!!!

I have always believed in the power of positive attitude and thinking. This is what has helped me develop my approach to nutrition, fitness and wellness. My goal is to help people learn about great tasting, wonderful healthy foods instead of focusing on all the foods you shouldn’t be eating. Fitness is a gift, but if you don’t use it you will loose it. We are not perfect, we are not all the same, work through tough times and learn from them, find what works for you so you can create a healthy lifestyle for years to come!

  1. I’m excited to be part of the “March Madness” event at Fit Studio… I have a lot of weight to lose – but plan to set a realistic goal for the month of March, instead of looking at the “big” picture which seems overwhelming…

    This is the perfect time of year to gear up for warmer weather (although we have already had summer-like weather in February).
